Jim Bunning Exposes The PAYGO Farce
PAYGO
is already gone. Acronym for pay-as-you-go, PAYGO was signed into
law only last week. The bill theoretically requires congress to
offset non-discretionary spending with corresponding spending cuts
or tax increases. Triumvirs Obama, Reid and Pelosi ballyhooed the
legislation as proof of their commitments to fiscal responsibility
in government.
Anyone can get religion, but conversions of this magnitude are bound
to overwhelm most people's credulity.
Only the most gullible churchgoer, Ned Flanders perhaps, would
accept this pious renouncement of sin at face value. Everyone else
had good cause to assume that PAYGO was simply the latest style over
substance announcement by which the Obama administration still
vainly hopes to fool a few of the people for a week or two.
It didn't even last that long. KY Senator Jim Bunning exposed PAYGO for
the farce that it is in less than a week. Read

Doctor's Orders

Barack
Obama became America's 44th president by managing to fool enough of
the people for just enough time. By
January 2010 no one was fooled, but a lot of voters who placed their
"hope" in candidate Obama found themselves feeling just plain
foolish.
President Barack Obama, however, couldn't care less. And nowhere is
this more evident than in the president's attempt to resuscitate
Obamacare and unleash it's evils upon America.
Thursday's Healthcare Summit was nothing more than a half hearted
attempt to pull the wool back down over the eyes of an angry
electorate, or at least intimidate republicans into putting their
fingerprints on legislation designed to give government control over
the cost and quality of, and inevitably access to, medical care in
America.
Both objectives flopped miserably. but that hardly mattered. When
all was said and done, Barack Obama made it clear he was the doctor
and America might as well get used to it.

The Commission Made Me Do It
“These
are tough times and we can't keep spending like they're not..."
Is Barack Obama angling for a Nobel Prize for Bold Faced Effrontery?
Or does our president simply believe that the IQ of the average Joe
in America is somewhere in the range of his bumbling, well below
average Joe? Either way, Mr Obama's creation of a "debt commission"
is yet another example of his
Audacity Of Arrogance.
The purpose of this commission is "to try to restore reason to the
fiscal debate and come up with answers". For a full year now, Barack
Obama has turned "tough times" into sheer misery with his
self-styled "economic policies". Massive spending bills, massive
budget proposals, government interventions into the private sector,
attempts to implement crippling health care and and energy taxes.
Policies which defied all reason.
But policies that have served the president's purposes quite nicely.
The stage is now set for Phase II of Obamanomics. Massive tax
increases, which will be recommended by Barack Obama's new National
Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform. Read

Saving Lieutenant Behenna
America
has lost 5,300 American men and women in the wars in Iraq and
Afghanistan. Tens of thousands have returned home permanently
disabled. But the men and women of our Armed Forces have suffered
another type of casualty, of almost equal gravity and rarely
mentioned. The loss of support of their own commanders, beginning with Commanders And Chiefs George W Bush and Barack H
Obama, on down.
And perhaps the most disgraceful examples of this abandoning of our
troops are the many prosecutions of our own soldiers on charges of
"war crimes". Almost all of these charges arose from situations
where the soldiers faced split second, life or death decisions in
the midst of combat.
Most of these cases eventually resulted in dismissal or
not guilty verdicts. But careers have been ruined, reputations
destroyed and families bankrupted by legal fees.
The case of First Lieutenant Michael Behenna, however, has
gone one
egregious step further. First Lieutenant Behenna has been unjustly
convicted, in spite of substantial exonerating evidence, of
"murdering" a known Al Qaeda terrorist in Iraq. Read

Bully's Pulpit
President Theodore
Roosevelt referred to the White House as a "bully pulpit". "Bully",
during that era, was popularized by Roosevelt as an adjective
meaning "great" or "superb". And all presidents since have
understood how to utilize the prestige of the superb platform that
is the White House.
It
has become increasingly clear, however, that President Barack Obama
seems to have misinterpreted the adjective "bully" for a noun. Indeed,
Mr Obama seems quite confused lately on not only his adjectives and
nouns, but also on the facts. It is almost as though the president
really doesn't care what anyone thinks. Which was exactly the
impression Mr Obama gave when he publicly ridiculed members of the
US Supreme Court during his State Of The Union address.
Associate Justice Samuel Alito rightly took offense to the
President's using the SOTU to grandstand to his anti-everything
base. The justices, Mr Obama knew, would just have to sit and take
it, no matter blatantly the president distorted the facts. Justice
Alito could clearly be seen mouthing the word "untrue".
And those who might have taken the time to note the expression on
Alito's face, as he looked up at the president, should also have
picked up on the word "bully". The noun. Read

Feminists Fraying At The
Edges

Pro-life
sentiment continues to build in America and feminists are fraying at
the edges. Their spokespersons are becoming unglued. It wasn't
supposed to be like this. Not with Barack Obama in the White House.
On the contrary, the majority of American's now label themselves as
pro-life, state legislatures continue to pass those common
sense/decency restrictions that provoke feminist ire and
pro-life/pro-family positions are receiving major media exposure.
And feminism's last hope for a major expansion of abortion in
America, under the guise of "healthcare benefits", appears to be
headed down the drain with Obamacare.
The pressure of these set backs is bringing out feminism's true
colors as they resort to their traditional fall back position.

Abortion Is Not A Poverty
Issue

In
this article of our series on
Bringing Christians Home On Abortion
we will address a common position taken by pro-choice Christian
organizations. Their overwhelming concern for the poor is considered
to be a far more important Christian issue than abortion.
The gospels do recount Jesus' love for the poor and His admonitions
to His followers to care for the poor. And all Christian
denominations work to support the poor and to address the root
causes of poverty. But Our Lord was equally concerned for the
dignity of the poor and, without doubt, the fate of their souls. As
in "Man does not live by bread alone".
Many, very well intentioned, pro-choice Christians have let
themselves be led astray by the political argument that abortion is
somehow a poverty issue. This "abortion benefits the poor" argument
is, however, one which degrades women and families in poverty in the
ugliest manner possible. Read

On Abortion
The
spring 40 Days For Life Campaign begins on February 17. During last
fall's campaign the lives of 571 babies were known to have been
saved. With pro-life sentiment escalating in America, even happier
results are expected from this spring's endeavor which will be
conducted in 163 cities across America.
Undaunted by the opposition of the most pro-abortion administration
in the history of Roe v Wade, the pro-life community continues to
work tirelessly to the win the war against abortion
One Baby At A
Time. The percentage of children saved from the abortion mills each
year, however, still remains small.
But the 2010 elections offer the opportunity to begin stemming the
tide of abortion on demand in a truly significant way.
Hundreds of
thousands of children can be saved in the coming years through the
initiation of another type of national pro-life campaign. Read

State "Interposition" To
Roe v Wade
"Judicial
Activism" has evolved into a commonly accepted practice in America's
federal courts. Many liberal judges clearly feel empowered to create
constitutional rights based upon their particular views of society's
needs and ills. And the beginning of this corruption of our
judiciary can be directly traced back to the 1973 Roe v Wade Supreme
Court decision which created a non-existent right to abortion in
America.
To anyone with a true understanding of the principals of the
founding fathers, Roe v Wade is clearly unconstitutional because it
denies an entire group of citizens, America's most helpless
citizens, the fundamental right to life. But considering the current
composition of the Supreme Court, and the political climate in
Washington, Roe v Wade will likely stand for the foreseeable future.
So other paths must be pursued in defending the rights of the
unborn, and a new avenue of attack was suggested by Rabbi Yehuda
Levin during the 2010 March For Life in January.

Pro-Life Super Bowl
Showdown
Pro-life
sentiment continues to mount in America and the struggle to protect
the rights of the unborn will take another major step forward on
Super Bowl Sunday. 2007 Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow and his
mother Pam will be featured in a 30 second commercial titled
"Celebrate Family, Celebrate Life".
Sponsored by Dr James Dobson's Focus On The Family, the Super Bowl
spot will cover Pamela Tebow's courageous decision not to abort her
child against the advice of physicians. The child, Tim, turns out to
have been born quite healthy.
The Tebow family hopes that the recounting of Pamela's decision will
inspire women facing a similar dilemma to choose life for their
children. But that can only happen if the ad actually runs as
scheduled. Read

Abortion Incorporated 2010
Though
it might not seem so considering events in Washington, 2009 was a
better year for the pro-life community than it was for Abortion
Incorporated, the radical hardcore abortion lobby.
President Barack Obama, backed to the hilt by a progressive
democratic leadership in congress, did everything his newly acquired
power permitted in making good on his campaign commitments to the
abortion industry that spent heavily to place him in the White
House.
Yet for the first time in those 36 years a majority of Americans
polled consider themselves to be pro-life. America is rethinking
abortion and the struggle for the rights of America's unborn is
being won in hearts and minds across the country. But Americans will
not be allowed to "choose" life without a fight. Abortion
Incorporated intends to confront that escalating pro-life sentiment
with the full force of the federal government.
